Erosion Control Ocean geotextiles installed between rip rap and armor rock to prevent erosion under soils. Ocean geotaxtile economically replaces granular filter materials which are costly and frequently difficult to replace. It functions both as a separator between soil and as a filter to allow water moves in either direction depending on water elevation. Proven application include protection of stream banks, slopes, shorelines etc. Ocean is also highly effective in all fencing applications to prevent soil run off at construction sites as well open pit mining.
Unpaved Surfaces In access roads for forestry / mining operations, construction sites and Industrial work areas. Heavy construction equipment is used also these sites are generally in remote locations resulting. Also these areas become unoperational in weather. Ocean geotextiles can be effectively used in making of unpaved surfaces permanent. Placed directly over the soil, Ocean geotextiles prevent overlying aggregate and binds surfaces from sinking and permit water to drain resulting the surfaced remains clean, dry and intact.
Car parks Increasingly car parks are being built on poor quality land. The increasing use of Ocean geotextiles as a stabilising separator has enabled low maintenance, low rutting car parks to be built on such land.
Landfill Ocean geotextiles have been used to prevent the gas drainage layer mixing with the water proofing system in landfills. This enables the designer to produce a safe solution with less aggregate cover. The chemical resistance of Ocean geotextiles ensures long term stability to the structures.
