The 8th Auto Expo is scheduled from 12th to 17th January 2006 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Organised jointly by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the 8th Auto Expo 2006 is slated to be bigger than ever before.

The Indian Auto Industry has come of age. The presence of leading global auto manufacturers; consistent growth in annual turnover and significant contribution to the Government through direct and indirect taxes have made the Indian auto industry, today a major driver of economic growth in India. Asia's Largest Automotive Show, Auto Expo has played a major role in the whole process. Over the years Auto Expo has proved to be a very effective event for facilitating the coming together of auto majors from around the world in a focussed fashion, under one roof.

The 7th Auto Expo held in January, 2004 with participation from 26 countries; buying delegations from 23 countries; 8 lakhs visitors; over one lakh trade enquiries and business transacted worth Rs 2250 million, was a huge success.

The 8th Auto Expo will facilitate to maintain and strengthen the upswing in Indian auto industry by leveraging the best practices and technologies from around the world.
