Thewa is a traditional art of fusing 23ct gold with multicolored glass. The process followed is detailed and intricate. Patterned sheet of pure gold is fused onto colored glass to create a unit. The enameler then brushes the ornament on the engraved design with special colors called mina in red, green, black, yellow, blue, etc. A single piece of mina pass through many hands before it reaches completion. A distinctive look is rendered by the floral and designs of nature on the ornament. Minakari is truly Nature captivated in silver.
