Chondroitin Sulfate (ChS) is known as a kind of polysaccharide which is extracted from animal cartilage. Its molecular chains consist of 50-70 disaccharide units with chain length varies and its relative molecular weight ranges from 10000 to 50000.Its one of the
ingredients of connective tissue matrix and also the prosthetic
group of glycoprotein.

It can be applied to increasing the activity of lipase, decompounding TG in chylomicron and defecating the blood by reducing chylomicron. The functions of anti-concreting and anti-thrombus make it widely
used in curing coronary thrombosis, high blood lipids and cholestein, angina, myocardial ischemia and myocardial infection. Besides the items listed above, ChS is useful in some cases of neuropathy headache, neuralgia, arthralgia and hemicranias.

It is also indispensable in the supplementary treatments of hearing barrier caused by streptomycin, hepatitis and so on. In addition ChS is found to have favorable function of anti-senescence.
